From Spåtind Fjellstue at 850 m, there is a trail that runs via Lundsætrene and on to Lenningen at 1000 m.
From Spåtind Fjellstue at 850 m, there is a trail that runs via Lundsætrene and on to Lenningen at 1000 m. The first 4 km from the hotel to Oppsjøkrysset leads through a landscape of old traditional mountain farms (Goplensætra, Nashaugsætra, and Feforsætra). You then enter Langsua National Park and continue to the Utsikten vantage point at 900 m. Utsikten offers stunning views of both Synnfjorden and Spåtindtoppen. The trail continues past Nysætra and on to Lundsætrene. The distance from the hotel to Lundsætrene is 8 km, and the terrain is gentle and sheltered.
To extend the trip, an option is to continue for 8 km to Lenningen. The trail will then follow a road, and is one of the first to be prepared in early winter. From Lenningen, you can either follow the same route back or continue to Spåtindtoppen.
Lenningen – Spåtindtoppen – Krokhølen – Spåtind Fjellstue (30 km)
Just before Lenningen at 1000 m, you have the option to turn left up to the Spåtindtoppen peak at 1414 m. The distance from Lenningen to Spåtindtoppen is 10 km, and there is a further 10 km down to Krokhølen at 800 m. From Krokhølen, the trail leads across Skjervungsfjellet at 1100 m and then back to Spåtind Fjellstue. The distance from Krokhølen to Spåtind Fjellstue is 10 km. With the hotel as starting point, the full round-trip via Lundsætrene, Lenningen, Spåtindtoppen, Krokhølen, and back to the hotel is 45 km long, and leads through spectacular and diverse mountain scenery.
