Beautiful medieval church from around 1100.

Originally, the church was a long church in Romanesque style when it was built around 1100, and the oldest part is made of stone. In the 1830s, the church was rebuilt and expanded, so that today it appears as a cruciform church.

Services are held at Spangereid Church every other Sunday, in even-numbered weeks. The church is well attended, especially in summer, when many tourists come to services at Spangereid Church.

The Spangereid prayer house is just a stone’s throw from the church. Regular meetings are held here, and the Sunday school has its rooms in the building. There are several prayer houses that belong to the Spangereid parish. At the Reme prayer house, there is a very large and active children’s and youth program, in addition to meetings for adults.
