A ski expedition during the Svalbard winter offers some of the most demanding conditions you can find in the Polar Regions. The variations in terrain, temperature, and wind make this the complete polar expedition. You will travel over sea ice, glaciers, wide valleys and moraines, and the fact that the polar bears out number you adds an extra bit of excitement.
Spitsbergen North and South – in two stages This is the longest and most demanding expedition we have, where you will ski to the north and south tips of Spitsbergen. As many of our guests have busy schedules, making it difficult to find the time for a long expedition, we have chosen to stage this adventure over two years. We will go north the first year, and then south the following year. If you take both trips then we can promise you that you will be able to draw a line from the tips of Spitsbergen, and say that you skied it! This is an achievement you will remember for the rest of your life!
We have just six places available on this expedition, and participants must have experience from alpine skiing, winter tenting and the delights of Primus cooking. To profit from this tour you have to enjoy pushing yourself! There will be long days, cold days – and unparalleled experiences!
