Støle Church is a charming little wooden church from 1892. It is located on the old coastal road between Kragerø and Risør, 15 minutes drive from central Kragerø by ferry and car, or 20 minutes by car from the E-18 in Sannidal.
Støle church was built in 1892. At that time the church was called Levangsheiens chapel. Around 1935 the church went through a extensive restoration and got painted inside. For the 50th anniversary in 1942, the church got stained glass with paintings and other decorations. A crystal chandelier from the Oslo castle was mounted in the church simultaneously. The church was restored both inside and outside, to a great extent by volunteers funds and voluntarily, in the early 1980s. Some exterior paint was done by volunteers in the late 1990s. Outside areas are upgraded by volunteers and funded by the parish council in 2003, along with a handicap ramp.
