Stiklestad Camping

Stiklestad Camping has a family-friendly location by the Verdalselva river and is only a 2 km walk from the Stiklestad National Culture Centre and sports arenas.

The campsite is a great starting point for various activities in Verdal as well as excursions towards the Golden Route in Inderøy, and different historical culinary and hiking experiences in the areas around Levanger, Ekne, and Verdal.

Stiklestad Camping offers year-round log cabins, fully equipped with hot and cold water, with and without showers or toilets, caravan and tent spaces with shared kitchen and sanitary facilities, a service building with a kiosk and common TV room, as well as wireless internet.

Stiklestad Camping sells fishing permits for its own 1800m stretch of the Verdalselva river. Verdalselva is a good salmon river and requires the usual patience, while if you choose to try your luck fishing in Leksdalsvatnet a few kilometers away, you are almost guaranteed to catch fish.

Disinfection of fishing equipment for use in the river is done at the campsite.
