Storbekkdalen cabin boasts a beautiful location by Nedre Storbekktjern in Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park. The cabin serves as an excellent base for small game hunting and trout fishing, with many good fishing lakes in the area.

In 2021, Værdalsbruket built a new log cabin by Nedre Storbekktjern, approximately 2.5 hours' walk (9 km) from Vera in Verdal. The cabin is located in Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park, one of the largest contiguous wilderness areas in southern Norway.

Cabin details:
There was an old cabin here before that was demolished, and a new cabin was rebuilt. The cabin features a shared kitchen and living room area, three bedrooms with a total of 6 beds, and two mattresses in the loft. There are duvets and pillows for 6 people in the cabin. The cabin has a solar power system with lighting in all rooms, a propane refrigerator, a wood stove, cooking facilities (gas), and equipment for 8 people. There is also an outhouse with a dry toilet and birch firewood.

You need to fetch water from the stream behind the cabin. There is no mobile coverage at the cabin, but if you go up to a high point north and east of the cabin, there is coverage. You must bring your own personal equipment and toilet paper.

There are many good fishing lakes in the area, and the cabin is ideally located for small game hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts. The tourist association's trail via Tverråkroken passes just east of the cabin.
