Tour description:
From the car park, follow the marked path across the marsh and continue on a nice hiking path to the trail junction in the road at Hatleggi. The tour continues on a soft forest path steeply upwards in a westerly direction, in a lovely mixed forest with pine and birch, up to the tree line about 100 meters above Veslehaugen. The view up the steep ridge gets better and better down towards Eidsfjorden, Kjørnes and Sogndal. In a couple of places here, a strong suction is felt in the stomach.
Walk past an idyllic small mountain lake, before you are up on Veslehaugen 1018 m above sea level, and from there the path continues on stone and gravel, but the path is still as clear. From Veslehaugen there is one last steep bend and snowdrift, before you are up at the top of Storehaugen 1169 m above sea level.
The top is a pure pleasure in the lovely weather, and with an unparalleled view!
