The Mountain Farm sits at a beautiful location in the heart of the Storlidalen valley and has been owned by the same family since the 1600s.

Storli Gard sits surrounded by Trollheimen at the heart of the Storlidalen valley in Oppdal. It has been owned by the same family since the 1600s. There is a wealth of proud farm and family history here, and today Wenche and Hallvard are in charge of the farm, carrying on the tradition. Besides being an active farm with sheep as its main livelihood, Storli Gard has long served as a guest house at a location that is practically in the middle of the mountains. A unique starting point for mountain trips where farm-made food and cosy accommodations are part of the experience.

The house has space for 23 guests with board, in addition to 4 spaces in the storehouse, which also
has self-catering. It can be prepared for celebrations for approx. 50 people.

Storli Gard can offer trips on marked trails both on foot and by bicycle. Storlidalen is home to
magnificent nature with majestic mountains and shimmering mountain lakes where the trout bite eagerly. The two-wheel trip along our 13-km private road in to Tovatna must be experienced. There are also many smaller marked “culture stubs”, such as power plants, smallholdings, giant’s kettles, old farm meadows, and morel.

Many miles of prepared ski trails start just outside the front door. Typically, there is a snow guarantee throughout the entire winter season - from November to April. The farmer at the farm is unusually fond of laying down ski trails, and has even purchased a brand new snow grooming machine to provide guests with newly prepared ski trails. It is also a paradise for ski mountaineering trips. Magnificent and beautiful outside, intimate and cosy inside; this is what you experience at Storli Gard.

The production of farm foods has been an important part of the farm's livelihood. First-rate lamb meat from the farm's own stock forms the basis for products at the farm. An exciting menu with lamb products is on offer if you come to visit.
Various types of game are also included, as well as excellent seasonal mountain trout from Tovatna, just next to the farm. Storli Gard also has a long tradition of beer brewing, featuring its own microbrewery
