Strømnes is a small farm located in beautiful Inderøy, Innherred in North-Trøndelag, and is built in the Swiss style in 1904.

Strømnes is ideally suited for smaller groups (6-22), wishing to dine in an historical and special atmosphere.

The hostess will do the outmost to make you feel comfortable and cooks tasty dishes made from local produce. «The good meeting» doesn't just depend on good relations, but also the framework og the meeting. Having your meeting with us will give you peace to work and a relaxed atmosphere.

The menu at Strømnes is founded on the cookbook of Hansine from 1874, where you will find both Norwegian and Swiss dishes.
Ingredients and produce are locally sourced, when possible.
The Norwegian menu is developed in collaboration with Sunniva Saxvik (historical food researcher), Jostein Austli (Head chef Gangstad farm dairy) and Margarete's knowledge of Strømnes, and consist of dishes used in middleclass families in the Norwegian countryside around 1905.
Switzerland has 4 different languages and 4 different kitchens - German - French - Italian og Romanish. Stømnes serve 3 dishes that are considered Switzerland's contribution to the international kitchen; - Fondue with meat, - Fondue with cheese and - Raclette.
