Strind Gard is idyllically located just outside Fossbergom in Lom, along Sognefjellsvegen. The farm offers peaceful, historic surroundings—and a large outdoor area with arranged seating spots inside the blooming garden.
Here, Anne Jorunn and Trond Dalsegg have welcomed guests from all over the world since 1975, with a focus on old traditions. In the Vittingje stream, with its gently rippling mountain water, you can take a refreshing swim or enjoy a meal in the outdoor area with a grill. From the farm, there is a marked trail to the waterfalls in Vittingje, where you’ll find a shelter and a fire pan. The hosts can give good advice about hikes in the mountains and also occasionally join as hiking companions.
Strind Gard is ideally located for day trips in Jotunheimen and experiences in Lom sentrum. The farm is family-friendly and welcomes guests year-round.
Strind Gard has cabins/rooms, both high standard and simple standard, with space for 2–6 people, at reasonable prices. The farm has a new sanitary facility with a sauna.
