Nordfjord Stryn

Stryn Climbing field: Beachen

  •  /  km From You

The development of this climbing area started summer of 2001. The enthusiasts Asbjørn and Vegard started making their way up the cliff and 2 years later it offers about 30 lines, and presents one of the country’s best sports crag.

The wall is easily seen between Stryn (7 km) and Loen (5 km), right by Rake. Park by the road, follow the path along the road towards Stryn, and take off towards the cliff by a large boulder. You arrive at the wall on the right hand of the Beach sector. The Bølgen Sector is located further to the left. The area offers light, intermediate and hard climbs. The wall is facing west and has sunlight from noon (Bølgen) and 2 pm (Beachen). The cliff is very tall and most climbs stay dry during rain.

Recommended climbs: Nøtteliten (6-), Aphelium (6+), Bølgen (7-), Laphroaig (7+), Ny tid (8-), Aloha (8), Loco Motion (+).....but they are all good!
