Join us a full day summer hike in the realm of Spitsbergen, where we climb Lars glacier all the way to famous Trollsteinen and contiue our hike around Lars Hierta and Sarkofagen mountains.

This is a hiking trip into the contrasts of the arctic nature in Spitsbergen. Join our experienced guide on a daytrip in the realm of Larsbreen, one of the glaciers facing Longyearbyen to the south. During the hike we cross rivers formed from the melting glacier, hike along the glacier moraine and finally cross the Lars Glacier before reaching the magnificent peak of Trollsteinen at 850 masl. From here we continue the hike to the next peak almost opposite to east; Lars Hierta mountain at 875 masl, before entering the moss covered plain of Sarkofagen with wonderful view over the town. From here it’s all downhill back to Nybyen.

Please note the guide may change the route based on the weather conditions.
The trip gives you a view over Longyearbyen and surroundings, where you can sit down and enjoy the silence. Welcome to a active day!
