At Kulturhavna in Ålesund you will find two saunas with the local names “Årre” and “Heite”, idyllically located on the south side of Brosundet. Here you can enjoy pleasant warmth of around 80°C with fantastic views towards Ålesund’s beautiful town centre.

At Svai in Kulturhavna you have the unique chance to take a refreshing dip in historic aquavit barrels that are over 50 years old. These barrels are continuously filled with fresh seawater, so the bathing temperature always matches the sea.

SVAI has a fully automated, self-service system: the door is open and the stove is hot when you arrive, and the door locks automatically after your session.
