Svandalen in Sauda in Ryfylke is most known for its good snow conditions, but it is also an excellent walking area during the summer.
Svandalen offers great skiing in winter, like alpine slopes, prepared tracks and off-piste. Sauda Skisenter is one of the biggest alpine-skiing centre in Rogaland. Several high-capacity ski tows transport you 2 kilometres up the mountain. You can choose between several routes down - on the alpine slopes and on prepared cross-country tracks. There are options to suit both beginners and more experienced skiers.
