Forget time for a while

The farm is now closed for the winter until April 2025.

A detour from everyday life

Sveen farm is located in beautiful Stange Vestbygd, surrounded by beautiful cultural landscape. Only an hour and a half from Oslo. You can choose between "Karen's house" or the picturesque yard at Bekken (April-October), an 18th-century farm, next door to the Atlungstad Distillery. There are totally 7 bedrooms and 14 made-up beds. Both houses have views of Mjøsa, their own garden and a short distance to the beach. A perfect detour for those who want to get away from everyday life for a while.

Centrally located

Despite the silence, on Sveen you are within cycling distance to the museums, events and restaurants in Hamar, to the farm food sales in Stange, and to the the many cross roads in the village. You can have a morning bath in Mjøsa and maybe you want to try your luck at fishing too?

As the nearest neighbor you will find Atlungstad Brenneri, Norway's only rural distillery that is still in operation and the championship course Atlungstad Golf. If you want to see the village by foot, you can follow the Ottestadstien, which runs across the property and is 15 kilometers long. Or you can follow in the pilgrims' footsteps south towards Tangen or north to the medieval Hamarkaupang on Domkirkeodden. Skibladner, the world's oldest paddle steamer in operation, is also an option on Sundays when it calls at Atlungstad wharf.

You can have breakfast delivered to the door.
