Swimming spots in Kongsvinger

Bæreia

Popular swimming spot a few kilometers from Kongsvinger city center. Large lawn, benches, changing rooms and toilets. Bathing jetty and sand volleyball court for guests who want to be active. Good water temperature, fairly shallow sandy beach. Large lawn with space for many. 

Bæreiavangen, as the place is called, is located along Bæreiavegen.

Lierfløyta/Lierdammen

Great sandy beach where you can sunbathe or build sandcastles. Follow highway 2 and turn off towards Liermoen to reach Lierfløyta and Lierdammen, with volleyball nets, benches and outhouses (you may want to bring paper). Parking right by the swimming area.

Sigernessjøen

Very shallow sandy beach suitable for families with small children. Grass lawn for sunbathing and outhouses by the parking lot.

Sigernessjøen family camping is located on the other side of highway 2. The swimming area is located around eight kilometers from Kongsvinger, in the direction of Sweden.

Græsberget

Large bathing area in Skane at Lundersæter along Røgdenvegen, with a large lawn for sunbathing, summer meals or ball games. 

Long and beautiful sandy beach at one end, and a large lawn with stools at the other. Parking space right by the bathing area. The nearest shop is Joker at Svullrya, around eight kilometers away. Finnskogen Tourist Center is at the opposite end of the lake.
