Tømmerstua – A year-round log house at Strandli Farm
Stay in an authentic log house at the foot of Børgefjell national park, overlooking the national park and the mountain landscape of Fiplingdalen.
At the mountain farm Strandli, you can spend the night in peaceful surroundings at Tømmerstua, with views of the lakes below and majestic Børgefjell behind. Enjoy farm life, visit the dairy, fish in the lake, or explore the mountains – summer or winter.
Tømmerstua
Tømmerstua is a charming guesthouse from 1870 with five double rooms and two bathrooms. You’ll be greeted with comfortable, made-up beds and a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. Outside, relax in a sunny seating area by the fire pit or head down to Lake Fiplingvatnet for a swim or some fishing. The farm sells cheese and other homemade products, often offering a taste or two from their own produce.
Fishing, hiking and skiing
The lakes Øvre and Nedre Fiplingvatnet are just below the farm, offering excellent year-round fishing for trout and Arctic char, whether from a boat or through the ice. In winter, there are also snowmobile trails. Fiplingdalen is reliably snowy, making it ideal for skiing in both flat and rugged terrain. In summer, the surrounding mountains are perfect for hiking and day trips into Børgefjell National Park.
