Walk Besseggen
The Besseggen ridge is one of Norway's best-known mountain walk and attracts around 50.000 visitors a year. Most people choose to take the boat from Gjendesheim to Memurubu and walk back. Hardier souls walk from Gjendesheim to Memurubu and take the boat back, or stay at Memurubu overnight. If you choose to walk in this direction, you get the finest views. The walk normally takes 5 - 7 hours.

Walking Besseggen with a guide
If you wish to walk the Besseggen ridge or to other peaks in Jotunheimen, our knowledgeable local guides can take you on a tour of adventure. Gjendeguiden AS offer mountain guiding in both summer and winter.

We can offer walks for everyone, including groups and clubs. Our guides mainly take tours on Besseggen, but if you would like to walk to a 2,000 metre peak in the area, we are also happy to help.

If you would like a complete package, we work with other local companies to put together packages including mountain walking, catering, overnight accommodation and a boat trip on Gjende. The price depends on the number of people. Maximum 15 persons per guide.
