The Documentation Centre in Kapp

Mjøsmuseet’s documentation centre at Kapp
At Mjøsmuseet’s documentation centre, you will find family archives, land and property records, photo archives, a specialist library, church registers, and censuses. The family archives and land and property records primarily cover the municipalities of Vestre Toten and Østre Toten. Besides access to these documents, we can assist with searches in the digital archive.
The photo archive is published at Digitalt Museum, and the specialist library is available in the Bibliofil database. Books are not lent out, but are available to read at the centre. It is also possible to purchase annuals and books of local historical interest.
The documentation centre is located on the second floor of Kapp Melkefabrikk. Mjøsmuseet’s main exhibition "Mjøsas ark" is also found in Kapp Melkefabrikk, and has its entrance by the fjord. Mjøsmuseet’s office is in Fabrikkvegen 48 at Kapp.
