The fairytale forest in Sauda is a hiking treasure for children. Here will you find trolls and many exciting creatures from the world of fairy tales.
Let your play and imagination run wild in Eventyrskogen and Trollplassen.
You start from Risvoll skule / Sauda Fjordhotell in Saudasjøen, just outside Sauda town centre, and walk past the idyllic Fosstveit pond and follow the road for about 100 metres before turning left onto a new, prepared path towards the finish.
In Eventyrskogen you'll find many well-known characters from the world of fairy tales, and there's a great shelter and good barbecue facilities.
Not far from Eventyrskogen you'll find Trollplassen.
Here you'll find, among other things, a "Bukkene Bruse" bridge over the stream. Who will take on the role of the troll? Enjoy nesting in the shelter and take a dip in the beautiful pond.
You can drive all the way to Trollplassen if you wish.
