The Helgøya Ride (130 km)

Excellent long-distance ride through gentle terrain and beautiful scenery. Perfect for team technique training. Lillehammer – Moelv – Nes – Helgøya – Duenghøgda – Moelv – Lillehammer

With Lillehammer Station as starting point, ride south along Kirkegata and through the undulating terrain of route 213 (national tourist route) to Moelv – and then onwards to Nes. Cross the bridge to spectacular Helgøya, and follow route 35 (Helgøyavegen) around the island and then back. Enjoy a break at one of the country's most beautiful lunch spots: Skafferiet. Well worth a visit.

Back on the mainland, follow route 41 across Duenghøgda to route 212 (Nesvegen). Turn left, and continue on this road back to route 213. Turn right onto route 213, and follow this back to Lillehammer.

Excellent ride in either direction, but the most common is anti-clockwise as described above.
