Follow the march to the strenuous fighting in the mountains in the April days of 1940.
The troops started from Tennevoll on the evening of 23 April. It was a nasty weather, snowy weather in stiff gale with storm in the casts. Extreme conditions in strong winds and deep, heavy and wet snow. For the first time since the early 1800s, Norwegian soldiers were to attack an invading enemy.
Along the way, the wreck of a German Heinkel 111 H3 is passed. The plane was shot down on May 24, 1940 by two English fighters. Additional information about the incident upon arrival of the wreckage.
In to the battle
At Lapphaugen and Gratangen, the troops goes to the battle against the Germans. The will to win is strong and the fighting goes on for many weeks, gradually supported by allied forces.
The trip ends with flowering at the bauta over fallen soldiers, and dinner at Lapphaugen tourist station
