The New Command House

The New Commandant residence is a magnificent and beautiful banquet room at Fredriksten Fortress.

The building dates from 1831, and the last commander moved out in 2002.

The 2nd floor is stylishly decorated with furniture, photographs and carpets from the 19th century.

The room contains 4 living rooms, a cloakroom, a kitchen and a private bathroom with toilets.

Here you can make use of the garden / terrace, as well as the gazebo at the back of the residence.

Well suited for meetings, conferences, memorials and weddings here - seat up to 65 people.
