A 4 hour whale safari where you can get close-up encounters with marine wildlife. We head out the fjord in “Arnvid”, which is a classic Viknes 1030 (35 feet) boat: a fast, very seaworthy and comfortable cabin cruiser. The trip starts in Sørkjosen harbour.

We bring our guests safe and fast out to the whales, and can effectively move around according to the movements of the animals. Talking people out to sea in small groups makes it possible for us to give you a close and personal follow-up.
In “Arnvid” you are sitting in a warm, comfortable cockpit, protected from wind and weather. “Arnvid” is a 35 feet Viknes 1030, and has very good seaworthy properties. The boat is very well suited for this kind of trips, giving you a pleasant, safe and fast trip out to the whale habitats. The boat is easily available at the floating dock in Sørkjosen harbour. Before the trip we will give a security briefing and information about the whales. We dress you up in wind- and waterproof float suits.
Please bring warm shoes, headgear and gloves.
We have a minimum charge at kr. 3.600,- for the trip to be completed. With 1-2 guests you can still book, but the price will then be 3,600, - If the tour is not completed the guest will have the opportunity to:
- switch to the next possible departure
- cancel the trip
The way to the whales
The whales can move within a short period of time. Thus we will ask for your understanding that the time out to the whales can vary. The guide will inform you about everything that is going on, while the crew will look out for the whales.
In addition to solid guide experience, the crew has extensive experience from various marine professions. Maritime Technical Engineer with experience from larger vessels. Occupation as fischerman. Experience from nature management, research in the natural and maritime environment. We also mention backgrounds like skipper, firefighter and rescuer.
