The Tide

The Tide run a restaurant and accommodation on beautiful Sørvågen in Lofoten, with the good life in focus.

Here you will find delicious local food made from short-lived and fresh produce, and sleep and live well in a fantastic setting.

Our hotel was completed and ready for the summer of 2019. All of the facilities are top modern and brand new. At the hotel you will find Havet Restaurant where breakfast is served every morning, as well as an à la carte menu throughout the day and evening. Furthermore, we offer several types of accommodation, from double rooms, to cabins and apartments of different sizes. All our fishermen's cabins have a sea view, whether you book at our small and cozy two-person cabin, or want to stay more exclusive in our Deluxe Suite. In total we have more than 150 beds in the entire facility.

The hotel has a separate conference room for up to 70 people. With top modern meeting rooms, The Tide is perfect for a small meeting or a conference beyond the ordinary.

Sørvågen is an active fishing village in spectacular natural surroundings in Lofoten. The area is located at the E10, 2km from the International E-road networks endpoint, in Å. Sørvågen is often characterized as a gem in Lofoten. In the background of Sørvågen you can se the mountain chains of “Lofotveggen” and the iconic mountain, Støvla. Beyond the sea you have a clear view of the Norwegian mainland, the Vestfjorden and the famous and notorious tidal eddy and whirlpool Moskstraumen.

Sørvågen gives you everything that Lofoten is known for, concentrated in one place. Along the pier we can spot old wooden architecture in traditional style, fishing settlement and fishing boats. In addition we find classic sea cabins that are used mainly as holiday cabins, but some of them are still used for their original purpose by professional fishermen. The easy access to Lofoten’s incomparable mountains is what makes Sørvågen unique. There are many and varied opportunities for leisure and cultural activities, outdoor activities and recreation. Sørvågen is the starting point for many beautiful hiking trails and excursions, that suits everyone.

The hosts Mariann and Stein focus on quality in all areas and honors that you as a guest will have a good experience. They have grown up with a closeness to what nature and the sea has to offer. Hospitality, the joy and the love of good food and local food traditions is the foundation of our restaurant and accommodation.

In connection with the hotel, we have built up a separate conference department. With over 150 beds in the facility, and the opportunity to receive larger groups in our meeting facilities, we have the opportunity to host your next conference.
