Fjord Norway Vestland ULLENSVANG

Three-day tour to Hardanger incl. Dronningstien hike

  • Trolltunga Adventures, Tveitahaugen 8A, Ullensvang
  •  /  km From You

Enjoy RIB boat, HM Queen Sonja panoramic hiking trail Dronningstien, cider tasting and sauna - combined with a refreshing dip in the fjord and fantastic scenery.

This adventure package is perfect for team building and companies that want to interact in a completely different environment. It is also popular for families or friends traveling together. Please contact us if you would like a special offer based on your preferences.

Capacity: max 30 people

Season: February to October (in winter, we use snowshoes on HM Queen Sonja panoramic hiking trail)

Accommodation: Ullensvang hotel.

As a alternative for hiking HM Queen Sonja panoramic trail Dronningstien, we can offer a hike to Hovden in Lofthus during the winter, and Husedalen in Kinsarvik during the summer.

Hovden and Husedalen will also be used as alternatives due to bad weather.

DAY 1:

Take bus/car from Bergen to Øystese, this takes approximately between 1 - 1.5 hours. Guests are picked up in Øystese by RIB boat (Hardangerfjord Adventure), who will take you on a 1-hour boat tour and end up at Ullensvang Hotel. This is a beautiful tour of the Hardangerfjord, with the fjord surrounded by steep mountains and glaciers.

At Ullensvang hotel you will be welcomed by a guide from Trolltunga Adventures, who will give you further information about your stay, and the following days hike.

Enjoy the rest of the day at the hotel, and in Lofthus.

Dinner is served at 20:00.

DAY 2:

We will have breakfast at 06:15, you will be picked up by the guide at 07:30 and transported to Kinsarvik. We will provide the following equipment: Snowshoes if needed, snacks, lunch, something warm to drink. You need to have warm clothes, some extra snacks, and a minimum of 2 liters of water (see attachment for packing list).

There will be short breaks along the way, and the guide will make sure you get to see the best viewpoints. During the hike, we will serve lunch and even make a bonfire (if the weather allows it). On the way down, we will follow the same way during the winter with a beautiful view of Kinsarvik and the mountain Oksen. In the summer we will walk down the Monk Stairs (Munketreppene) to Lofthus. It is not possible to walk this road in winter as there is a great risk of avalanches.

The Queen's Trail was officially opened by H.M. Queen Sonja in June 2013 and has been one of the Queen's favorite trips. The highest point on The Queen's Trail is 1100 meter above sea level, and it is located on Hardangervidda National Park meets the Hardanger Fjord. You get a spectacular fjord view and beautiful views towards the glacier Folgefonna. This is a demanding hike and is suitable for those who have medium hiking experience. The trip is about 16 km and takes about 8 hours, including breaks and a good lunch.

The alternative plan for those who do not want to walk The Queen's Trail; Trip to Hovden at Lofthus with a bonfire. Here you get a beautiful view over the Sørfjord while enjoying a delicious lunch and local snacks.

When completing the hike, you will get to visit Heit Sauna on an "after hike". It is possible to combine this with cider tasting at Hardangergutane, they do also have alcohol-free alternatives. The perfect way to end a long day in the mountains.

After sauna and cider tasting, you will be transported back to the hotel.

Dinner is served at 20:00.

DAY 3:

You will be picked up in a RIB boat and transported back to Øystese where the bus back to Bergen is waiting.

For companies, the hotel offers conference rooms that can be used during your stay.

Contact Trolltunga Adventures by email or phone for reservation or booking inquiry.
