Mush your own dog sledge with Alaskan Huskies together with our experienced Svalbard guides. Feel and make your own adventure in the Arctic nature, we go in small groups to give you the best experience possible!
Your guide will meet you in the hotel reception at the scheduled starting time of the trip. We change into proper clothing before heading off to the dog yard. The drive to the Trapper’s Station is about 10km, and you will be greeted by 90 eager and friendly huskies upon arrival. Bolterdalen valley will be the starting point of the adventure, and your guide will give you an introduction to dog sledding and how to harness your own team of dogs. We will cover as much ground as possible depending on the pace of the group and the weather conditions, before returning to the Trapper’s Station. The huskies love getting a lot of attention and petting after the trip, and you will probably have made a few new friends by the time they are put back into their dog houses for some well-deserved rest. We sit down for a hot drink and some biscuits before we head back to Longyearbyen.
