Toplandsheia is a popular and family friendly outdoor and recreation area offering nature experiences throughout the year. In winter, the area becomes a gathering place for families and skiing enthusiasts, with well groomed cross country ski trails suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. During the winter season, Topland is used for exercise, play and social activities, with ski tracks, sledding hills and inviting spots to gather around a crackling campfire among snow laden trees.
When the snow melts, Topland turns into an attractive area for hiking and paddling on calm waters, surrounded by the scent of pine forest. In spring, nature puts on a unique show as black grouse gather and play on the bogs, while autumn is ideal for berry picking and mushroom foraging.
