The Torderød estate was cleared already during the Viking era, while the current estate, the Torderød mansion was built as a summer residence by David Chrystie d.e. in 1758-60.

The Torderød estate was cleared alredy during the Viking era, while the current estate, the Torderød mansion was built as a summer residence by David Chrystie d.e. in 1758-60. The building is listed, and the Torderød park is the district's only purely baroque garden. The beautiful premises are hired out to parties.
Every Sunday from late June to early September, the Moss husflidlag (craft club) runs a summer shop and café from 1200-1500 hrs. At 1500 hrs. Torderød Gårds Venner (Friends of Torderød Gård) conduct an interesting tour of the main building and the park.
