General:
Totenåsen is divided into 4 common areas («lodd»), each of which is managed by its own fishing association. You can purchase fishing permits for each separate area or for all areas.
Specifically for area («lodd») no. 2
The fish permit zone covers around 12 lakes.
Fishing is only permitted in rivers and streams in the period 1 November – 31 August.
Fish < 25 cm must be released.
Specifically for area («lodd») no. 3
The fish permit zone covers around 22 lakes and rivers.
Fishing with nets is not permitted.
Trout < 25 cm must be released back into the water.
Specifically for area («lodd») no. 4
The fish permit zone covers around 32 lakes and rivers.
Trout < 30 cm must be released back into the water.
There is a complete ban on any kind of boat or canoe in the lakes of Bråtåbrenntjern, Søndre-, Vestre-, Midtre- and Nordre Skurvtjern.
Specifically for area («lodd») no. 5
The fish permit zone covers around 11 lakes and rivers
Fishing with rod and handline permitted, from boat and land.
Good ice fishing possibilities.
Self-service boxes at beginning of all access roads, cash payment only.
You are kindly requested to limit the catch of large fish, weighing 1 kilo or more.

- Please note the rules on disinfection and live bait.
- Boats with outboard engines are not permitted.
- As a main rule fishing is not permitted in the period 10 September – 31 December, particularly in rivers and streams.
