The cold has left its mark on nature, so the deciduous trees swaying in the wind drop a sprinkle of colorful leaves over the world.

Lady's maid By: Linken Malene Raeng Summary of the trip: The cold has left its mark on nature, so the deciduous trees swaying in the wind drop a sprinkle of colorful leaves over the world. At the start of the path, there is a badly burned tree which, amazingly, has some leaves way up there. What a life force! We follow the Karelveien into the cultural forest, and after a walk through a lush forest we come out onto a dirt road that flashes white in a few small streaks of sun. Here we turn left and follow the road until the first intersection, where we also keep left. At the next fork in the road, we follow the signs for Damtjenn and follow the gravel road down to the water. Here a sign shows the way up the hillside, where a narrow, well-used path takes us past moss-covered rocks, leftovers from a squirrel meal and several fallen roots, all the way to the southern end of Damtjenn. As the path meets a gravel road, we turn right out towards the water. Narrow paths lead through the heather along the banks of the water, and in several places there are bonfires and nice natural rest areas that are suitable for a short break before the return in your own footsteps.
