Tour pearls: Frønessjøen and Røttjern, Rakkestad
The path leads us through the yard on the idyllic, old homestead Frøne and along the field up towards the forest.
As the day dawns, reddening sunbeams find their way between the tree trunks and warm up a slightly frozen forest. The path leads us through the yard on the idyllic, old homestead Frøne and along the field up towards the forest. Soon we stand at a crossroad and look down on Frønessjøen. We choose the path to the left towards Røttjern, and cross a bog in the middle of Frønesjøen, come up in a mixed forest and turn right at the junction. A lovely forest path winds its way over the ridge parallel to the sea, and the forest around us is colored golden by the morning sun. At the trail junction, we follow the signs for Røttjern, and pretty soon we see the water between the trees by the path.
