Ribbon iron By: Linken Malene Raeng Summary of the trip: Lovely, warm cultural landscape is replaced by moist mixed forest with many blueberry bushes which in autumn become full of tempting berries. We follow the signs towards Lintjern from the car park and follow the blue-marked trail through a pleasant forest. Surrounded by green in many shades, we are embraced by a cool humidity on the hot day. After a nice walk through a lush forest, we come up to a logging field at the top of the hill east of Lintjern. We follow the signs towards Einarbu; it goes over the felled areas and eventually into a forest where nature is rich in animal tracks. The path leads us north, and soon we see a log cabin and blue water between the tree trunks. Lintjern is beautifully located in the forest; the small water stretches inwards between two ridges. On a small isthmus in the northern part of the water, there is a nice gapahuk with a campfire. It's deliciously warm here when the sun is shining, and for those who feel like it, there are opportunities to take a refreshing bath. The return goes around the north end of the pond and then south through the forest. We follow the blue markings all the way - until we end up at the starting point.
