Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park, Wilderness Experience & Snow Carving - Including Transport
Join in on the outdoor winter activities at Tromsø Ice Domes. Be inspired by the work of our professional snow carving artists, as you will have the unique opportunity to create your own snow sculpture afterwards!
This tour is conducted by Norwegian Travel.
Join us on an exciting journey by bus from Tromsø city center. After a relaxing 90-minute bus ride, you will enter the remote Tamokdalen where Tromsø Ice Domes is located.
Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and equipped with essential equipment, including thermal suits, winter boots, mittens and a hat, ensuring comfort and warmth for the activity. After preparation, your guide will take you through the day's program: Divided into smaller groups, you will participate in a variety of engaging experiences, some accompanied by a guide, others to explore independently.
Learn essential survival skills from your knowledgeable guide as you take part in the art of making a campfire, essential for staying comfortable on a cold winter day.
Once successful, grill your own sausage on the fire while we serve a hot soup and hot berry juice to keep you warm and cozy outdoors.
Get ready to get active and try to navigate the snowy terrain on tandem skis. Race against the other team for an extra dose of excitement.
Enter the park and explore the area on your own. Be enchanted by the snow and ice sculptures inside our domes. Be fascinated by the art that comes to life with light, surrounded by untouched nature and peaceful
Arctic landscapes. Get up close to the most iconic animals in Northern Norway: visit the huskies and reindeer near the park.
Inspired by the works of professional snow artists, you will get the unique chance of using your creative skills in shaping your own snow sculpture! With the guidance of an experienced instructor and divided in small groups, you can pick up your own carving tools and start sculpting your own masterpiece out of a large block of compressed and hard snow.
After finishing all different activities, it will be time to board the bus again and return to Tromsø, with memories of adventurous experiences in the Arctic wilderness, new outdoor- and carving skills and pictures of magical snow art.

• The reindeer herd exists of 5-6 reindeer.
