Trondheim Chamber Music Festival

The Festival That Gives Classical Music a Fresh Pulse
Trondheim Chamber Music Festival (Kamfest) takes place during the last week of September each year. Established in 1996, Kamfest has gained international recognition for its youthful energy, innovative programming, and outstanding musicians from Norway and beyond.
An international stage for chamber music talentThe Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition (TICC) is organised every other year during the Trondheim Chamber Music Festival and attracts young, talented ensembles from all over the world. The competition, which alternates between string quartets and piano trios, has given Trondheim international visibility as a music city. With high standards and great enthusiasm, TICC inspires both musicians and audiences – and helps to make classical music relevant to new generations.
A Colourful Meeting Of CulturesFargespill Trondheim (Kaleidoscope) is a unique artistic project in which more than 100 children and young people from 40 nations create magical performances. Throughout the year, the participants rehearse music, dance and circus with roots from all over the world, before culminating in an energetic and colourful performance at the Trondheim Chamber Music Festival. A celebration of diversity, inclusion and creativity!
