THE TVEITEN COLLECTIONS – EGGEDAL MØLLE WATER MILL
Part of the Norefjell museums
Eggedal water mill is in operation every weekend in the summer. The flour mill and saw mill are powered by water. The men are busy at work, repairing equipment and milling grain in a cloud of flour! You are welcome to take your flour home.
The timber logs are moved towards the three sawblades and are sawn into lumber in a cascade of sawdust and water, used to power the mill. Discover how the power of water can turn grain into flour and timber into planks!
The exhibits at the museum include the Grimesaga horizontal saw mill from 1900, an 18th century flour mill, a well-equipped school house from 1863, the home of the rose painter Per Basol, and an old farm brewery with a baking oven where you can buy delicious, freshly baked waffles and freshly roast coffee.
