Tyinstølen Turisthytte

Tyinstølen Turisthytte is located along FV53 between Tyin and Årdal.

The cafe, which has all rights, is open on weekends and during school holidays (closed from the midlle of October to the middle of February). We have cabin rentals all year round, we have cabins with 3-21 beds. We are not seasonally closed!

The cafe serves lunch & simple dishes, as well as breakfast and dinner when arranged in advance. On request, we can arrange small and large parties/dinners - contact us!

In the winter season, we are responsible for grooming and preparation of the cross-country skiing tracks starting from the cafe, scooter transport to cabins and parking.

Tyinstølen Turisthytte is a good starting point for a number of trips in Jotunheimen, both summer and winter, or as a stop on the way. 
We are within day trip distance of several DNT cabins, including Fondsbu, Tomashelleren and Slettningsbu as well as beautiful natural areas in Sogn, Hemsedal, Valdres, Hurrungane, Sognefjellet, Beitostølen and Valdresflye.

Good fishing opportunities both in Tyin and several mountain lakes (fishing license must be purchased).

Norway Bussekspress NW160 stops right outside the door, and we have a large car park which is plowed in the winter.
