Valdresekspressen to Besseggen
The Valdresekspress bus service runs up to 3 daily departures from Oslo to Gjendesheim (Besseggen) during the summer season. In addition, they offer up to 4 daily departures from Gjendesheim back to Oslo. Valdresekspressen starts at the Oslo Bus Terminal and has pick-up points in all ferry ports in Oslo; Color Line, DFDS and Stena Line. Valdresekspressen has a daily departure from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Beitostølen.
The Valdresekspress arrivals at Gjendesheim correspond with the boat departures to Memurubu (Besseggen) and Gjendebu. In addition, some Valdresekspressen services also continue to Lom and Leirvassbu. A recommended multi-day tour by taking the bus from Oslo to Leirvassbu is to walk from there through Jotunheimen to Gjendebu, continue hiking over Bukkelægeret and finish with the Besseggen hike to Gjendesheim. Then simply take the Valdresekspressen from Gjendesheim back to Oslo.
