Vassfjellet Winter Park

If you need to rent ski-equipment for the day, their ski rental and shop has everything you need.

In Vassfjellet you will find Trondheim’s best ski school for alpine skiing and snowboarding. The Winter Park’s professional instructors cater for the needs and skiing skills of children and adults alike. Every weekend throughout the winter, there are group-lessons for kids lasting 1.5 hours, which are organized according to age and skill level. They also offer separate ski courses with different themes and durations during the Christmas, winter and Easter holidays. If you want private lessons with a skilled instructor, you can sign up for 1:1 lessons with a P.T. from beginner to top level – also with snowboarding!

The many dining areas offer everything from hot dinner dishes to simple pastries. On sunny days you can enjoy their 150 square meters of outdoor seating at Vassfjellkroa and up in the mountains by the Fjellheisen you can sit back on the outdoor terrace with their signature dish “Vassababb” (reindeer in lefse).

Want to explore the top of Vassfjellet without snow? Every Sunday from the end of August to mid-October, you can take the chairlift in Vassfjellet and go hiking in the mountains. Here you’ll find a marked trail suitable for the whole family, starting at the exit of the chairlift. The 4.2 km long trail is easy to follow, well marked and takes you to the most beautiful part of Vassfjellet.
