The History of Verdal HotelWhat is today known as Verdal Hotel was originally built as Grennes Hotel in the early 1900s, owned and operated by Marie Grennes until 1946. That year, Verdal Dairy purchased the property, changed the name, and carried out an extensive modernisation costing between 200,000 and 300,000 kroner. The result was a modern hotel, while the dairy also secured strategically important land. When the property was later sold in 1952, the dairy retained around 1,000 square metres of the plot for future use.
