Located by the sea and surrounded by spectacular mountains, Vesterålen Apartment holds a unique atmosphere. The first thing you’ll notice when staying here is the quiet. Suddenly, you’re made aware of how noisy the world was before you arrived.
Situated among mountains by the idyllic Jørnfjorden in Bø in Vesterålen, Vesterålen Apartment offers everything you want for a quiet retreat. The facility consists of six architect designed apartments, all unique in layout and size. In addition, we offer a communal house, complete with kitchen, bathrooms, showers and conference room.
The conference room overlooks the fjord and seats about 20 people. The newest addition to the facility is a waterfront sauna which is open for use all year.
We offer free parking on the spot.
Apartments
Our apartments are modern, spacious and suitable for both short term and long term stays. We have room for couples seeking a calm and romantic getaway, families wanting to discover Vesterålen and explore the nearby nature, fishing enthusiasts ready to test their luck, wildlife interested guests, hikers, eager to discover spectacular mountains or friends seeking to reconnect.

All of our 6 apartments have fully equipped kitchens, open living rooms, bathrooms with shower and view of the fjord. The number of bedrooms, size and price range varies.
The Castle: Approximately 100 square meters suited for up to 7guests + 2 children. Four bedrooms, one full bathroom in addition to a separate toilet.
Apartment I: 4 guests + 2-3 children. 2 bedrooms, a loft and one full bathroom in addition to a separate toilet.
Apartment II: 4 guests + 2-3 children. One bedroom, a loft and one full bathroom in addition to a separate toilet.
Apartment III: 4 guests + 2-3 children. One bedroom, a loft and one full bathroom in addition to a separate toilet.
The Dockhouse: Approximately 40 square meters. One bedroom for 2 guests. A loft suitable for 3 children. One full bathroom.
The Boathouse: Approximately 80 square meters suitable for 6 guests. 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom. The apartment has its own private peer right outside the kitchen.
Activities
Sea side sauna: Our sauna is wood fired and open to the guests at their leisure.
Fishing: By request, guided fishing trips may be arranged.
Hiking: By request, guided mountain hikes may be arranged.
Biking: There are bikes for rent at the premises.
Bird watching: The birdlife is busting in Vesterålen and perfect for bird enthusiasts and photographers.
Sauna
Our wood-fired Sauna is located by the waterfront, offering you a view of the fjord and a sense of luxury you deserve. The Sauna is open for drop-in, and you are welcome whether you are staying at the premises or not.
Events
Our conference room, apartments and surroundings make Vesteralen Apartment perfect for hosting events, courses and conferences. Our communal house (70 square meters) seats approximately 24 people and has both toilets and showers, in addition to a well-equipped kitchen. The conference room overlooks the fjord and seats about 20 people.

Location
Staying at Vesterålen Apartment brings the guests close to nature, offers them peace and quiet and a chance to reconnect. The facility is located in the tiny village of Klakksjord in Bø in Vesterålen, Nordland. The village no longer has any permanent residents. Instead, we are frequently visited by moose, hare, sea eagle and orcas. The nature and wildlife in Vesterålen is as spectacular as in the more known Lofoten—only with fewer tourists to block the view.
There are no traffic or noise in Klakksjord, and the closest grocery store is a couple of miles away. This gives a unique atmosphere that changes throughout the seasons. In the winter there is very little light pollution, enabling a wonderful clear view of the night sky and the Aurora Borealis. In the summer, the midnight sun is in itself worth the journey.
