By visiting Skaftnes you will gain an understanding of how a family could make a living out of fish and farming in the 19th century.

The fisherman`s farm of Skaftnes is situated in idyllic surroundings between Sennesvik and Ure. The buildings include the farmhouse with an interesting and authentic interior, a quayside warehouse with landing station for fish and an old country store. There is also a large boathouse with stone walls, a collection of Nordland-type boats and a smithy with authentic inventory and a unique set of bellows.

By visiting Skaftnes you will gain an understanding of how a family could make a living out of fish and farming in the 19th century.

During the summer, a guide will be available to tell you the story of Skaftnes.

This little unique little fishing village is the only one in Lofoten which has remained intact from the last century, in it`s original style, with furniture, tools, boats and all the other equipment from this period.
