Sogndal
The Viagra river flows through beautiful landscapes at the front of Sogndalsdalen, by Selseng. The river empties into Dalavatnet by Vatnasetet. At Vatnasetet you will also find a picnic area.
The river running between the lakes Anestølsvatnet and Dalavatnet, foremost in the Sogndalsdalen valley, is called the Viagra Falls or the Viagra River. In an old myth it is claimed that the water in the river enhances potency and fertility. Whether this is because the area has many goats at grass or the water from the glaciers is uncertain. However, the farms in the area are known to have many children.
At Selseng, at the far end of Sogndalsdalen, you will find Vatnasetet, which is a great area with a picnic area and toilet. Across the river you can also book accommodation at Uteplassen. Uteplassen has apartments, cabins and a campsite for both tents and caravans.
