Vikabråten is an organic traditional summer farm croft, still in operation today and was portrayed in the TV program “Der ingen kunne tru nokon kunne bu".
We live at Vikabråten, Trillebakkadn 13, from mid-September to around 20th July. After this we relocate to Heimstølen, Trillebakkadn 311, which is 3 km from Vikabråten, where we stay from 20th July to 2nd August. We spend the whole of August based at Vikabråtstølen, to the north of Trollhovd (Jaslangveien 1370) before moving back down again to Heimstølen, for the first 2 weeks of September, and then back to Vikabråten.
We sell cheese and salami at all of our farm locations. During August and September we sell berries and from late September we sell potatoes. The third weekend in September we have an open day where visitors can help harvest potatoes with our horse Blakka.
If you are interested in trying your hand at milking, making hay, or picking your own berries or potatoes in late August / September, please contact us.
