Hamar Vandrerhjem Vikingskipet opened in 1993 alongside the Vikingskipet arena which was built for the 1994 Winter Olympic Games.
The hostel is renowned for its friendly and informal atmosphere, and offers apartments and comfortable rooms with cable TV, bed linen, and towels. Its apartments have a living room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, and the hostel has 80 rooms sleeping a total of 200 people.
Bright and modern meeting room
Hamar Vandrerhjem Vikingskipet offers what may well be the most stylish meeting space in Hamar. The room is flooded with light and decorated in bright colours. Remember to order freshly made waffles for your meeting. 30 people capacity in a classroom layout.
In the hostel’s eatery “Ny og ne”, guests can enjoy a plentiful breakfast buffet, lunch, and evening meals – in front of the fireplace if you wish. The guests’ favourites are the house chicken fajitas, the beef burger sandwich, and pizza. Food is served until 22:30 every evening.
