You are welcome to visit the renowned and most experienced breeder of the Lyngen Horse in Tromsø. We have breeding mares, foals, virile stallions and playful youngsters who are a living proof of Northern Norwegian culture and history.
The horse breed is made and born under the warm glow of the midnight sun and raised in heavy winter storms, and has therefore developed into a beautiful and sturdy horse. It bears the tradition and cultural spirit of the life in the northern part of Norway through centuries, as a close friend and work partner. You will get to know a versatile, friendly, and unique horse and learn about its dramatic history, including near-extinction in the aftermath of the World War II.
Weather permitting, it will be possible to go for a short ride. Hopefully the Northern Lights will dance above us and provide a life-long memory. You get your own horse that you make ready and saddle up. You will also brush and take care of your horse after the trip. We ride from the stable along the road. We will have a short break, and enjoy the view, before we turned around and go back.
