Visit Wilderness in Åmli

For more than 20 years, Visit Wilderness in Åmli has organized trips in canoeing, climbing and hiking. Here you can either only hire equipment or book a trip with equipment and a guide. The six cozy cabins are located on a traditional homestead on the farm Tverstøyl, which was the home of Olav Tverstøyl, a great bear shooter in his time. The cabins have a simple standard and 3 to 5 beds. Water, toilet and shower are in the shared sanitary building. We have a playground for children, short hiking trails around the cabins, e.g. arrow and bow cross-country skiing trail and a sauna that can be rented.

"Hunting" with a bow and arrow is a unique experience for the whole family. On the 2 km long walk through the forest there are 14 stations with three-dimensional animals made of special foam. You can rent a bow and arrow and, of course, also get training. Equipment and guiding for the Via Ferrata trail on Trogfjell can also be booked at Visit Wilderness.
