Easily accessible, green, and inviting – the lighted trail at Asdal and Lunderød offers great walking opportunities for both young and old.

The lighted trail starts at Asdal School, winds past Lunderød Stadium, and continues into a varied hiking area. Here you can choose between short afternoon walks or longer routes that take you all the way to the idyllic lake Kjenna.

• Short loop: approx. 2 km in the lighted trail – perfect for a quick walk nearby.
• Medium loop: via Hermannsplass, offering varied terrain and nice viewpoints.
• Long loop: to Kjenna – a lovely 5 km round trip with a scenic rest spot by the water.

Trail description

The trail is well maintained with a solid gravel surface, making it easy to walk all year round – even when the ground is wet. The walk starts between the school buildings and follows a gravel path into the forest. After passing under the E18 highway, you can either take the short loop via Lunderød Stadium or continue toward Hermannsplass and Kjenna.

The longest route takes you to beautiful Kjenna, where you’ll find a picnic area and a small red cabin that occasionally offers simple refreshments. On your way back, you can follow the wide forest road via Stampefoss, or take a narrower and slightly hillier path that leads back to the lighted trail.

No matter which route you choose, you’ll enjoy a pleasant walk in easy terrain – just minutes from the city.
