Whale safari in Skjervøy, Kvænangen and Reisafjorden - Reisafjord Hotel

The whales have moved northwards and are now in the area around Skjervøy, Kvænangen and the outer Reisafjord. We offer whale safaris by rigid inflatable boat (RIB). We set off from Reisafjord Hotel in Sørkjosen and head to the best place to see humpback whales and orcas

The whales have moved north from Tromsø and are now in the area around Skjervøy, the Reisafjord and Kvænangen. This makes the Reisafjord an excellent base for your whale safari.

The whale safari starts daily at 09.00 (9am). The pick-up point is the reception at Reisafjord Hotel. If the whales are further away, we will start by minibus and drive to our RIB before heading out to the whales.

The tour price includes warm clothes.

The rigid inflatable boat (RIB) provides an excellent and quick way to get out to the whales. We serve hot drinks and snacks during the trip. Capacity: 12 passengers (please note a minimum 6 passengers are required per tour)
Duration: 3-4 hours depending on where the whales are.
Price: NOK 1,200 per person

You are welcome to stay at Reisafjord Hotel before and/or after your whale safari. The following room rates apply:
- Double room, including breakfast: NOK 995
- Single room, including breakfast: NOK 895

The tour price includes: whale safari by RIB, warm clothes and hot drink / snacks.

Getting here: There are daily return buses services between Tromsø and Sørkjosen.
From Tromsø:
Monday - Saturday: 14.10 - 17.15 and 16.00 - 19.10
Sunday: 16.00 - 19.10
Return from Sørkjosen to Tromsø:
Monday - Saturday: 07.10 - 10.40 and 14.05 - 17.25
Sunday: 13.15 - 17.30 and 17.22 - 20.55

You can also book the short, scenic flight on Widerøe from Tromsø to/from Sørkjosen.
