Whisky Carthedral at Myken
Join a Whisky Tasting with Storytelling on a Guided Tour through Myken’s Own Whisky Cathedral
Myken Distillery is the world’s first Arctic whisky distillery and one of Norway’s largest whisky producers. In the Whisky Cathedral, you’ll join a tour of the storage facility and learn how the barrels mature in our Arctic climate. Simultaneously, you’ll hear the story of how the idea for whisky production originated and how it has developed to the present day.
You will also get to taste a selection of their best-received releases.
Deluxe Whisky Tasting
If you come with a group of friends, family, or colleagues, it’s possible to book the Deluxe Whisky Tasting. In addition to tasting a selection of the best-received whisky releases, you will be served finger food specially paired with the whisky and prepared by the chef at Fiskebruket. You’ll also join a tour of the storage facility and taste whisky straight from the barrel. This experience is available for groups of between 6 and 15 people and must be booked at least one week in advance.
Myken
All production, storage, and bottling take place in the old fishing village of Myken, 32 kilometers from the mainland, north on the Helgeland coast. The distillery plays an important role in sustaining this small local community, which still has permanent residents year-round.
